These are the notes I wrote for a course I taught to second-year undergraduate students at the University of York in the 2023/2024 academic year.
This course was, in a way, an experiment: can we cover a lot of ground at a relatively high level without young university students freaking out?
Given the very positive feedback I received from the students, the answer seems to be yes: it is possible if we provide the right support to students.
For any student/lecturer wanting some ideas of applications for a course on electromagnetism or fluid dynamics, I hope some of this might be useful.
